This week in 60B

This week in 60B we have had a visitor: Sarah Ormes. She has talked to us about different books that we may want to read.

In Mrs Bartlett's maths group we have been learning about symmetry and other types of it. I Mr Hemplman's group we have been doing rotational symmetry on a grid with coordinate's.

Just a quick reminder for year 6 that SAT'S revision club is on this week so please come on the day you have signed up for. Thank you.

On Wednesday year 6 are having a career fair. Some parents are coming in and talking to us about their jobs.

This week in 60B

This week we found out our new topic is 'The World is our Oyster.' It means that we are thinking about our future. It's very interesting to see what other people think about their future.

In maths last week we all did tests. We did very well but have things to work on, like Venn Diagrams and Time.

In English we have been describing characters and writing a story. We have also been looking at punctuation, using full stops, commas, speech marks, exclamation marks and ellipses. Ellipses are used to help build up suspense in a story.  As he walked down the dark alleyway, he could hear a strange noise ....

SAT'S  revision club has started this week so please check what day you are signed up for.

In ICT we have been learning how to use the computer programme Scratch. This is a programme that lets you code animations and games. We have learnt how to make a character dance and play music.

Last Friday we made a picollage on the ipads, all about Buddhism. We have been learning all about Buddhism with Mrs O'Gara every Friday.   Bodhgaya is place of pilgrimage for Buddhists around the world.
